Strategic Planning for Trustees looks at how an organisation works to achieve its social objectives, and enables trustees and directors to plan for and manage change. The respective roles of staff and directors in this process are explored. We look at succession planning and ‘future proofing’ against social and economic changes. We will close with action planning for key steps to be taken to ensure organisations are sustainable in the long term.
Third sector organisations can lose sight of what it is they are trying to achieve, and how they are going about this. It can also be difficult to anticipate how the environment they work in might change, let alone make plans to manage this change.
Strategic Planning for Trustees is for people who are directors, trustees or steering group members of voluntary, community, charity and other third sector organisations. It will also be beneficial for staff who work closely with trustees and directors.
