Join social enterprise leaders from across Scotland and other countries to focus on the development challenges of an internationalising social enterprise, and the learning to be gained from social enterprises overseas.
Led by Rachael Millson, Chief Executive of Social Enterprise Academy Africa, the residential will provide opportunities to explore and understand the different approaches to social ideas. Ideas, inspiration and partnership opportunities will emerge. Rachel will be supported by James Hilder and Roy Clunie, who over the last two years have worked with social enterprises in ten countries across five continents.
Social enterprise is a truly global phenomenon. Trading to achieve social purpose is happening on every continent, a community united by social purpose and a shared philosophy. Yet there is great diversity in social enterprise globally, much we can learn from different approaches taken by communities and social enterprise leaders internationally. There are also opportunities to trade internationally, sell products and services through working in partnership with social enterprises abroad.
